Modern make-up and new trends

Makeup trends

Hi again, today we will talk about makup and colours. Tired of the same old neutral tones of your makeup? It’s easy to inject some colour into your look but you just have to know how. Here’s an easy guide:

Red
Wear it: It’s all about lips and nails. Look for reds with orange or brownish undertones if you have an olive complexion, and go for a pink base if you have fair skin.
Avoid it: If you’re going for rosy cheeks, make sure they don’t end up too red or skin will look blotchy.

Orange
Wear it: Peachy blush suits just about everyone. Apply it to the apples of your cheeks and then blend it diagonally upwards towards your hairline.
Avoid it: Burnt orange lipstick was very big in the 1980s but that’s where it should stay.

Yellow
Wear it: The perfect way to conceal dark under-eye shadows is to look for concealers in shades of lemon to counter bluish shadows. Gold eyeshadow adds a touch of glam – apply it in a thin line along your lashline.
Avoid it: Shimmering gold lippie suits no-one, so use creamy formulations in block colours.

Purple
Wear it: Your nails are about the only place you can get away with wearing bright purple. But dark eggplant shades can work on your eyes – just keep it subtle. Wearing dark purple mascara is a great way to add a little bit of colour without going overboard. It mostly suits women with green eyes.
Avoid it: Everywhere else!

Pink
Wear it: Almost anywhere! Pink blush, lipstick and nail polish are almost as timeless as the old red lippie. Go for deeper berry shades for your nails and lips and coral for cheeks.
Avoid it: Pink eye shadow rarely works – it will make you appear as if you’re battling a case of conjunctivitis.
Blue
Wear it: Blue eye shadow looks great on women who have brown eyes but if you’re not that game try a navy blue eyeliner pencil or wear blue mascara instead. Navy blue nail polish is also fashionable. Wear it on short, square nails.
Avoid it: Everywhere else!

This is the end of today’s tips stay tuned, there is more to come.
